There’s probably only a few people that actually know the whole story about my journey through food businesses.
It started in 1999…oh Prince…sigh…I digress….from Urban Catering to Cookiewench to Field Fox Gardens and Cookery and a bunch of others in between; most of it along side my TV career, always trying to find what brings me Joy.
The only thing I knew for sure was I didn’t want to work in a restaurant. Even though I’m an adrenaline junkie, directing live television is my drug of choice, I knew restaurant kitchens can be stressful and I didn’t want food to be a source of cortisol spikes for me.
When my children came along in 2008, I started understanding food as medicine, and as usual, I needed to turn my growing knowledge and passion into a business. But How? And in what way?
Through two decades of trial and error I have found the food business that brings me Joy.
Cooking for my clients is calming and healing for me. It makes me happy when seniors and families eat the food I prepare. I’m in their kitchen doing my thing and I’m fully living within my own heart while serving others and making a living.
Is there anything greater than living a purposeful life? (Other than hearing your children laugh?)
